SportsEngine Registration: Park Ridge Athletic Association

PRAA FALL 2020

Welcome

Registration will open for ten (10) days until midnight, July 26th. This registration will be valid for the Fall sport season and will NOT accept payment at this time, due to the ever-changing parameters surrounding athletics. In the event we are able to move forward with the season, payment information will be provided at a later date.

Please note, the PRAA Board of Trustees has approved the following return-to-play measures to assist in providing safe practice and play environments for all athletes and volunteers involved in our programs. We will follow the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA) which is the governing body of high school athletics as well. Updates on practices, start dates, etc. be shared with all who are registered moving forward, as they are received. As it stands today, the Fall Sport Season for the NJSIAA has been delayed to a September 14th start date for practices.

In the event we are permitted to move forward with the Fall season, the following protocols will be in place:

1.    WAIVER of LIABILITY:  Provided by the Borough of Park Ridge, each athlete participating in PRAA programs will be required to have a hard copy of the Waiver of Liability (Waiver) on record with PRAA in order to participate.

2.    SAFETY COACH:  Beginning with the Fall 2020 season. the Safety Coach position will be added to the SportsEngine registration process online. This position can be fulfilled by more than one volunteer per team to ensure coverage is always available.

PLEASE NOTE: In the event an athlete or coach begins to experience symptoms during an event, the Head Coach will direct the athlete to the Safety Coach. Parent/guardian will be contacted and the athlete will be required to leave the event. Return-to-play protocol will include a physicians’ note clearing the athlete to return to play.

3. MEDICAL KIT UPDATES: Each medical kit will be appropriately filled with disposable PPE as well as a temporal thermometer.

4. VOLUNTEER PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE): PRAA will supply all volunteers including Head Coach, Assistant Coaches, Safety Coaches and others required to be on field, washable PPE in the form of one mask and one gaiter.

Thank you for your patience. We are hopeful we can resume play in a safe environment as early as this Fall.
